mod list and questions.

Hi, I have a 92 s13 and I want to upgrade whats under the hood. I've had it for a year now and all I've done is some suspension work and maintained it. Tell me what you think of the list, Its divided into 2 parts, parts during the swap and after. (BTW: my goal is between 300-350whp, nothing higher!) Tell me what you think and if there is anything I'm missing from the list or something I dont need. Your basic thoughts. I have another main question aside from this. I live in the Chicago land area and we dont have visual testing. How good will my chances of passing emissions be with a proper tune?
Thanks

Mods During swap:
RedTop SR from heavythrottle
Greddy Profec B SPEC II Boost Controller
Greddy V-SPL FMIC
Heavythrottle hotpipe
HKS SSQV BOV (recirculated)
Z32 MAF
Apexi N1 exhaust
High Flow CAT
3" downpipe
O2 housing/turbo extension (Greddy or Tomei)
Apexi intake
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
AEM wideband
Apexi power FC
Koyo radiator
Electric fans
Clutch (RPS or Exedy)
Greddy pulleys
Nismo thermostat (good?)
Battery relocated to trunk
Boost gauge
Oil temp gauge
Greddy oil pan
Greddy oil block adapter
SS turbo lines
Cometic head gasket
Nismo motor mounts
Peak Performance tans. mounts

Mods after swap:
Forced Performance Big 28 Turbo
Megan Racing manifold
Nismo 555cc injectors
APR head studs
HKS 256 cams
Greddy oil catch can
Greddy Turbo Timer
HKS actuator kit
Engine damper
Nismo fuel pressure regulator
Oil Cooler

Also, how good is my fuel setup? With the Nismo FRP and injectors?

that setup shud make 300 to the wheels easily. 350 shud be possible as well. u have the power fc to tune it. the fuel setup is more then adequate for your goals.

do the megan mani befor you put the motor in. it will be much easier that way. by the way they are of good quality. i have on and was skeptical till i actually saw it. real nice stuff for the price. also forget the greddy block adapter. just go with the greddy oil cooler kit. it comes with everything needed to cool the oil as well as relocate the filter. wich in stock position is a bitch to get to. also you do not need a turbo timer. more often than not they will mess up your wiring for the ecu. just let the motor warm up and cool off properly. so sit in your car for at least a min after you start it and befor you shut it off. megan pulleys are exactly the same as greddy only about 80$ cheaper. you could also get a oddysey mjt925 battery. they are tiny with mad power to crank over the motor. also can be installed any direction except upsidedown. they are the shit. also you MUST get rocker arm stoppers. they are inexpensive and worth every cent. enjuku and a couple other places have the stainless ones. good luck with everything. make sure you check your CAS befor you put the motor in the car. if it looks at all bad get a new one. it will really f up your shit if its junk. its also easier to do the timing of the motor with it on a stand. hope all goes well with the swap.

"CAS" Whats? I suck at abbreviations?

I'm going with Nismo 555cc injectors. ^^^^

What else will I need cams wise except rocker arm stoppers? value springs or anything else?
So do you think its a good list? anything else missing or not needed? Also do you think I can pass emissions?

Will I need anything else except rocker arm stoppers?

So do you think I can pass emission, we have no visual testing and with a good tune with the power FC, do you think I can do it?

you should always go rocker arm stoppers if ur going to rev it hard on the track. SR's r notoriously bad =/
what turbo is that? is it the standard garret t28? im not used to these naming conventions..if it isthe t28 anything after 15psi and its just gonna make heat...

fuel setup i'd change the walbro to a bosch 040 equivalent..the walbro's r rated at lower pressures at their 255l/hr. appropriate for NA engines. it would probably be alright but its a risk i wouldnnt take.

The turbo is the same basic thing as an S15 t28 but I hear its a little more straight forward as in a bolt on and it can take some more HP, I was thinking of maybe get a gt2871r instead. So how many other people think the bosh would be better? I have not seen one on a 240, but I've seen walbro all around, that's why I ask.

Also, so does anyone think I can pass emissions?

as for passing emissions, I would suggest running a cat for starters. (at least for the testing)

I live in buffalo grove.
I'll be running a high flow cat either way. With the CAT, tune and all. do you think I can pass?

Anyone else with thoughts on the list?

maybe bosch isn't as available there as here sorry. I've actually had a walbro installed for a long time but have heard many bad things on our local forums here as well as local tuners and ended up buying a bosch just before i wanted more power....obviously i didnt want to since i already had the walbro... (also i got rockerarm stoppers for less power than u).

and i'd recommend the gt2871r over the stock variant depending on ur application. the turbo would be the limiting factor with the mods u have and will see u well within ur goals with the cams.

Ya, I was thinking the GT2871R would be better but wont I need to be running like 740cc injectors and have a Greddy intake manifold? What else will I need, my list would change quiet a lot, no?

Also, so does anyone think I can pass emissions with a high flow CAT and good tune? We have no visual testing here.

i'd get the 740's anyway for ur goals for only $30 more . You dont have to have an aftermarket intake plenum though. your list wont change too much just a good tune.
sorry i cant answer anything bout emissions etc as im in a diff country. Here we'd fail just because aftermarket injectors and turbo etc. affect emissions on that basis.

it is NOT basically the same thing as the GT28R lol.

It is a whored out T25. They are cheaper because they bolt right on but is not ball bearing like the GT28R. According to Enthapy, they have terrible efficiency due to the fact that your cramming a larger wheel into a small bored out housing. Its flow rate is slightly higher than the GT28RS so think of it as sort of a Disco Potato but spools slower and blows hot air (small t25 compressor). GT2871R is a completely different game. Dont get it unless your looking for 350-400WHP if your refering to the larger trim.

Ya, So you think an s15 t28 is better? I guess the gt2871r will not be that great. My goal is like 350-360 MAX! Any other suggestions?

Also, anyone think I can pass emissions or have any input on that?

s15 t28 wont get you 350 hp haha
you will come no where near passing emssions with the setup you want.

go buy a Supra/Evo/STi if u want that and still passing emission.
