First S-Chassis Build 89' S13 Hatch - Slowly but Surely
What's up Zilvia, I'm Joey and here is my build and the story of what brought me here in the first place. (Sorry, I'm taking a lot of my photos off of my instagram/facebook.
I've been into drifiting and the community since 2005 I'd say, but I'm 22 now so that means I was just a little shit track volunteer for Ter-Tech back in those days. I kind of fell out for a while and go into paintball of all things... I wanted to get back into drifting and juggle it with my other hobbies so with my 18 year old logic I bought a G35 because I wanted RWD and to still get pussy. Coming off a suspended license with $3500.00 every six month insurance payments and being too afraid to wall tap that pretty little thing I sold it, quit paintball, and got into motorcycles? Got hit by a drunk driver and spent the next 6 months on Zilvia planning my hatch build. My current roommate owns the house and wasn't cool with my having a second car but was alright with me building a motor so that's where I started, picked up a KA with everything for $300 Tore it down, got it honed and tanked, staying with the stock bore for as long as possible and got it all pretty looking. I'm 22, I've got a retarded amount of medical bills, and am a fulltime student, so my parts collection has been slow but steady. Port and Polished Head BC Stage 2 Cams BC Titanium Springs BC Valves .5 over Supertech Stem Seals Eagle Rods CP 9.1 Pistons JWT Cam Gears OEM Chain replacement All of that has been sitting and collecting since August of 2013, until I finally had enough of just putting together parts and just sacked up and bought a storage unit and waited to find a shell. I got this bad boy for $1500, gutted interior, hacked up wiring harness and feed/return lines, but for the price of a shell I got an almost running ka-t setup with no rust and aside from the paint, completely clean body. Will post more later tonight, buddy is turning 21 and I have to doom him. |
