colorado drift event!!
this is from CoDrift.org...
========== LOOKS LIKE WE NEED TO DELAY AGAIN.. BUT ONLY ONE DAY! SUNDAY DEC 18 IS NOW THE DATE.. I PROMISE NOT TO MOVE IT AGAIN... Everything else is setup including insurance and reserving/rental of the lot. I even got cement barriers arraigned. It appears that the whole sha-bang is going to run 1150.00. The only part left is to determine how to come up with the money. I have had a few offers to sponsor the event, which will help (I’ll know more on this later) so not all of that needs to be covered by “driver entry” fees. AND something VERY IMPORTANT to remember (and this is the first I’ve mentioned it) is that 500.00 of that is a refundable deposit. IF we don’t damage the facility we get all or a portion of that back. Break Down of the costs: 500.00 parking lot damage deposit 150.00 parking lot 500.00 Event Insurance I’m so down with ANY suggestions on how to collect these funds! ------------------------------ Here's a link to the park's website: http://www.ci.greeley.co.us/cog/PageHome.asp?fkOrgID=52 There are several nearby fast food places, but feel free to bring BBQ stuff, don't think any one is going to mind. Spectators, um.. well there is no way to stop people from watching this session.. therefore anyone can come and watch, it would be hard to charge people beings that there is no crowd control, like fences and gates. We do need people that can keep other straglers off the course, so trusted family members who can help with perimeter control is very cool. Helmets are going to be required. I think the NASA folks would like to see Snell 2000 rated helmets.. Check out your local pawn shop, I found a real nice Biffe for 60.00. I have spoken to Mac and I will call them Wednesday.. my next day off and get more info posted as soon as I know more there.. I'm working on a registration form to post on line tomarrow so keep an eye out for that --------------------------------------------- FYI - With NO sponsers, and with 15 drivers we are looking at 76.66 each. RIGHT NOW with 5 people we're looking at 230.00 a driver. The more drivers the cheaper the session...!! --------------------------------------------- GUPWEED wrote: Helmets are going to be required. I'll get a list of tech items, but most of it is common sense (battery secured, working seatbelts, no leaking fluids, etc). ------------------------------------------------- "When will the be latest to get on the FOR SURE LIST?" Let's say the 15th, that would probley be a good day to have all the funds rounded up to.. so looks like payup date will be the 15th (unless Dave, has other requirements)... ---------------------------------------------- Email Troy (Gupweed) at [email protected] if you want to be on the FOR SURE list.... AWD are allowed, too Just ask that if you go to run or to watch....please keep all trash in trash cans etc, to cut down on the deposit needed to rent the parking lot. |
