idle problem

Im having a problem where my car will idle at 3k rpm only when the clutch is in and in neutral. help please.

Clean out your idle air control valve (IACV). That will do the trick. Do a search for IACV. It will show you how to clean it out. You can either try to spray it through the house on your intake. Its the bigger house next to the small one on your intake. Have someone hold your rev and spray a half can on throttle body cleaner in it. If that doesn't work, then you have to remove IACV and clean it out. I recommend remove and cleaning. That solved my problems.

yea in addition to that, there is an idle adjustment screw. you can lower and riase the rpm by adjusting it.

try cleaning it first though.. resist the urge to turn the screw.. those dont move out of whack for no reason usually.
