Look on the throttle body, there should be a screw, play with the screw til you get what you want. </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> no screw.... i think on the s-14's it different |

My idle goes under 1000 rpm. I don't know whether it should be 1000 or less, but my car shakes as well like my car is about to die or something. Honestly if I had an answer for this problem I would definitely help you, but I dont I'm figuring out what it is too. And I only have 127k miles, that's not alot. |

Cant you also adjust the idle via ECU .... even a little ? I forgot. </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> Yeah you can hook your lap top into the USB slot on the side of the ECU to get full control over it and even be able to map it for nawwwwsss. Actually I have never heard of adjusting anything with the stock ecu, I don't think you can. |

if the 95 and up 240 dohc is like the altima engine there should be a screw for adjustment near the (thinks) i know its not by the tb........*thinkin* it should be by cyl #1 on the intake port.
if not it should be on your tb you would also need to warm up the car for 2 mins get it to operating temp. disconnect your tb sensor and adjust the screw and check it should tell you your rpm range under your hood then plug everything back in and enjoy |

The proper idle speed for KA24DEs should be between 700-1000 RPMs. According to the tech books, of course. </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> i think that your wrong irena all the nissans ive seen give a +/- of either 50 or 100 but i wanna say 50 i doubt it varies +/- 300 that is just to much. |

1. Start car
2. Pop the hood 3. Open the hood. 4. Disconnect the TPS harness 5. Adjust the screw on the IAA..... 6. By adjust the IAA get the car to idel at 650rpm. 7. Reconnect the TPS, car should go to 700 rpm BTW, its 50 +/- rpms .... not 700-1000. |

That's pretty normal Lauren...the fluctuation with temperature. But your warm idle speed is about 100rpm low, but no biggie...that's about where mine idles, with warm-up at about 1100 as well.
