alignment qustions
ok i finally have some parts on the way so that i can get my car aligned properly. i have camber plates for my tanabe SS coilovers on the way and www.splparts.com pro RUCA's coming in early next week. also i am putting in a new P/S rack while i'm at it b/c mine is bent. but now that i have this stuff i still have no idea of what some good camber settings will be. i am going to go 0 toe all around i know that for sure. but i just don't know what to do about the camber. any suggestions?
the car is used for auto-x and daily driving mostly. |

While proper camber settings can be dependent on the tire compound, construction, and size as well as spring rates, etc. I'll give you the camber settings I have been running. I use -2.25 in the front and -1.5 in the rear.

yeah i was thinking of somewhere along the lines of -2 and -1.5 so i guess i wasn't too far off. unfortunately i do run street tires for now so would that make much difference? and my springrates are 8kg/f and 6kg/r

I'm running -2 degrees and 0 toe front and -1.5 degrees with 1mm toe in rear. It rides pretty nice, though I think the 2 degrees of camber may be a bit excessive on street tires. I find they sort of feel numb on turn in until they have enough load to actually make use of the camber. I need to try running a slightly lower tire pressure to see if that will get me a little more contact patch. It's also sort of obvious on heavy braking.
From the reviews I've read from other autocrossers this seems to be a good setup on the track/ parking lot (I've only done one event with this setup and it was a bit cold out that morning so it's hard to judge), though for the street I'd probably run about -1.5 degrees front and -1 degrees in back.
