Hi-Speed Wobbling
Hey Guys:
Anyone experience hi-speed wobbling? Anything under 70 the steering wheel does not wobble, but about 75, the steering wheel starts this wobbling thing. Any ideas? New Tires, mount and balanced, new tie rods and ends.... TC rod bushings are new too and I have megan coilovers dialed in. Is it possible it is the lower arm and lower arm balls joints? Thanks for everyone's help... |

Getting the tires rebalanced, b!tched at my friend cause he owns the shop hahaha... Um... I have spacers, all brakes and rotors and calipers were serviced by me. Got shaking and then lightly tapped on the brake, didn't affect the steering wheel at all. Spacers were recently torqued on same with tires, will check those. What bearing could be loose? you talking about wheel bearing testing? Axle not? hmmmm going to check lower arms and stuff... Thanks for the suggestion, but is it weird that this only happens at high speeds don't you think? If something was loose, it would shake at 45 even...

Yeah, tire balance. I had the same problem. It would start shaking at around 73-78. No shaking at higher or lower speeds, only in the in mid 70 range. I got my new tires and rebalaced my wheels and problem solved.

if balancing doesnt help, which i doubt it wont, you can always try and get hubrings...theyre super cheap and just might do the trick...
