sorry to bring back an old thread, but the link with the write-up is dead, does anyone know of any other write up? ive been searching on here and on google and cant find a decent one. getting this done on saturday, i have the basic idea, but a write-up would be great.

here's how mine are, but this is a full time track car, so I'm not worried about crap getting up and into the interior. I have made a few aluminum panels to block the tire smoke but it still builds up in there like crazy. Yeah it was great for weight reduction though. I used chargespeed 50mm blister overfenders and couldn't say enough for them, the fitment is spot on. Yeah thought this might help...

Cut outter skin of fender off, then cut slits in inner skin, fold inners out and weld it up. The mock up fender and dril holes for rivets then rivet them on. and your done. It is really easy. I hope this makes sense.

I wanna know what do you do when you are about to rivet the fender, do you just lay it on or do you put something in between the original fender and the over fender. Also, would any of you recommend painting the fender before install or afterwards? EDIT: My bad those pictures don't work anymore. where made like 3 inches from the window haha.
