Take off your fender, Pull the harness up. Get some zipties to hold it tight.
bolt it back up...That what I did.

I am not that slammed but I still rubbed my harness. I moved the harness up and also made a metal plate to protect it.

You can always cut, solder and extend it. wire by wire, so it doesn't hit?

either run a plate of sheet metal or relocate it to run through your engine bay. I did the latter. Now i dont have to worry about it ever again. Best method IMO.

If you are rubbing near where the harness goes thru the firewall, dial in more caster to pull the wheel forward..
My s14 is pretty low, and all I did was tuck the harness and zip tie it up and run some more caster and I have no problems rubbing the harness. |

caster can fix it also
im running 225/45/17s i was thinkin about going to 215/40/17s that would get the height of the tires atleast an inch lower. how do i adjust my caster? |

yeah 225/45/17 is tall. I'd run either a 215 or a 235/40 if you want more grip. Yes, 235/40/17 is shorter than 225/45/17

Personally I cut/lengthened/soldered every wire in my car.
As of now my s14 has 245/45/17's up front. With modded fender wells. Don't forget moving the harness is just one part of dropping your car extremely low.

To adjust caster you need to have adjustable tension rods.
I run a 235/40/17 up front with 2.0 degrees camber, 8 degrees caster iirc, and 0 toe, on a 17x9 +17, and have no rubbing issues, heres a pic so you can get an idea of my ride height.. |

I would just pull the fender off, tuck the harness up above the rail, and zip tie it down, and also try and pull it back towards the firewall and zip tie it there as well, and then just dial in a little more caster and you shouldnt rub.
And if you slide you will probably like the additional caster because it helps with wheel return. |

Take the fender off, there's a triangular piece of sheetmetal that sits at the joint between the apron and the Apillar. Cut it out completely, now you have room to pull the harness further back towards the firewall without stretching it up too much, increasing tire clearance considerably at the back edge. You'll see what I mean when you get into it.

Besides un-hooking everything and re-routing your stuff...I am in the same boat and I just DRIVE my car every day...not hard in events...so I know how you feel...and I rock camber like its going out of style...
I have only bumbed my drivers harness 1-2 times so far...I have re-tied it each time I have broken the tie off
