SR20 no start, need some help
So I got the engine in, everything wired up as it should be. The engine cranks all day but does not start. Found out the ignitor was bad and after swapping it out, it started to sound like it wanted to turn over a little more than before but still no luck. I replaced the spark plugs earlier today and turned the key it cranks but nothing, I pulled the spark plugs out and none of them smell like fuel at all nor do i see any on the plugs. The fuel pump is working, when I turn the key it primes for a few seconds then turns off like it should. I also had a fuel leak by the filter so I replaced the hose and hose clamp so I know fuel is travelling to the rail. I also checked the injector connectors to make sure they were getting pulse while cranking with a noid light just to be sure and they all light up. So im coming to the assumption that either all 4 injectors are stuck/clogged which i highly doubt but it could be a possibility, maybe a bad CAS? or bad ecu? the ecu i purchased from someone said it was good but you never know these days. Anyway if anyone has any ideas or has been in this situation before let me know, any help would be much appreciated.

I had a brown connector behind the glove box on the right side which is like a few inches from the ecu. No start for weeks. I forgot to plug it in. Double check

spray some starting fluid into the intake manifold and try starting, that will rule out the fuel system. after that you could pull the cas and make sure it is stabbed correctly (assuming you have already checked for spark). If everything else looks good than test compression.

still having issues, so i had all 4 injectors flow tested and they tested perfectly fine, fuel lines where they should be. When I turn the key and the fuel pump primes fuel gets to the rail but the injectors are not spraying at all. I replaced the FPR with a good factory FPR but still no dice. Im starting to think either bad ECU or CAS does anyone have any suggestions?

make sure the ECCS relay is clicking on, for some reason (I'm assuming you have a redtop?) #62 and #63 ecu likes to burn the part of the ecu that commands the ECCS relay to switch on. I ended up wiring my eccs relay to a manual switch, and that fixed the issue.

yea true im starting to think it's electrical/ecu at this point, pump works fine, injectors tested, good fpr, lines where they should be, injector connectors are getting power so no reason why it shouldn't turn over, doesn't the CAS control the order they fire not so much telling the injectors to spray right?

ok so i took my ecu to my buddy put it in his car and it fired right up so it's definitely not a bad ecu, could the CAS do this as well? is there any way to check the resistance on the pins some how?

Some link to one cas test. When spinning the cas by hand you should hear the injectors "click" if they are working

you gotta get a hold of another cas and try it to know for sure. pull the valve cover to install it correctly. actually they do it one of the recent drift garage videos.

so earlier today I pulled the fuel rail enough to see the injectors and had my buddy crank the car and all 4 injectors are spraying so i assume that means the CAS is working (correct me if im wrong), also the car has been sitting since december and the fuel is yellow looking, im not sure it's fresh enough to ignite. I would imagine i should still smell fuel on the spark plugs more but im going to try and get all this old fuel out and put some fresh fuel in to see what happens.

it turned out to be a bad CAS, i did a few tests via FSM to rule out if it was bad or not and it passed with flying colors, also the car finally started with the bad CAS but only when it was advance all the way it the dots were lined up. My buddy had a spare so i threw it in and it started right up, idled smooth and what not. Never saw a bad CAS show signs like it was working fine but still turn out to be bad. Much appreciate any help/input on this
