I really wish they would make an insane grip setup as they are doing an insane drift setup. If they are going that insane with CAD drawings, simulations, etc....

The old ones are pictured, but I have been working on something thats never been done before on the ITR's, using a spherical bearing as the heart of the ITR joint to replace the OEM spec plastic lined ball joint. I'll post more info in them when it becomes available.

Whewww finally caught up on all of this reading! lol

Looks like I need to preorder those SREB's stat!

Question: will having a ITR spacer that is installed on one side and the rack re-centered affect anything with these SREB's?

Okay dudes, time to teach me about stuff. I came across a modified front subframe that had the mounts for the steering rack moved up about an inch. They claimed it would prevent the tie rods from over-centering and it would eliminate that bullshit shimmy that some people (like myself) get at full lock. Any insight? Anyone have any pictures of a stock front subframe to compare it to?

For a second, the way you were talking, made me think. oh noes. google is down.

As stated before by Dan, the modified subframe, is essentially doing the same thing that eccentric bushings are done. it was like on the last page.

Awesome idea using eccentric bushings to space the rack forward without modifying the subframe. I'll definitely be getting a set when they are released.

Question for Dan ! I have the pbm pro-drift knuckle , driftworks offset spacers (for inner tie rod) , pbm flca / tension rod combo , stock steering rack positon and juste by moving my car it got stock in overcentering ...

Im not sure what's my caster set up right now cause im building my car for next season

With your new bushing for the steering rack would it help ? Do you run your offset spacers with your pro-knuckle or it's a combo that doesnt work together

From what I understand you shouldn't need the offset spacers for the set up you have. You must have a bunch of caster, have you tried lengthening your tension rods a little? If your caster is where you want it then the offset spacers may fix your problem...but I'd wait for Dan to answer as I'm not an expert on this.

The driftworks ones are completely different, the PSM ones replace the bushings so they don't put strain on anything.

Doug why you posting my subframe lol

I actually didn't have it yet, got it in the mail today though!

I'm also going to be running this same Steering rack spacer.

Would like to know if anyone is using the rack spacer with OEM tie rods? If so how much adjustment is left in them? I'm going to have my flca's lengthened 1" and I don't know what i'm going to have to do for tie rods... Maybe i'll lengthen the stock ones with some square stock

^stock

^modified rack location about 20mm forward (sorry, crappy iphone pic)

The PSM eccentric rack bushings move the rack forward about 6mm just to give an idea.

Pairing the two probably wouldn't work... just not enough room.
This is a great alternative to offset rack spacers.

Sy90 if you need a long tie rod setup the two popular ones seem to be the ikeya forumla inners that PSM sells with stock/tein outers or stock/tein s14 inners with SPL outers.

Why pick up a new setup? Moving the rack forward is just as good, if not better.

Also, Dan just said a few posts ago that he is coming out with a new inner tie rod, with a unique design.

By new setup I meant for my inner and outer tie rods haha. I don't know if i'm going to have enough adjustment with the oem tie rods and the passenger side rack spacer.

I guess I missed Dan's post... So now I have to wait for those to come out to see if I want them or not before spending my money elsewhere so goes the angle game.

I've had a few people PM me about what parts I used for replacing my ball joints and every website I used has updated their pages, so none of the links work on the 1st post.

If you wouldn't mind updating it please do:

- (4) COM series Aurora 3/4" spherical bearings - Aurora Rod Ends COM-12
- (4) 3/4" spherical bearing weld in housings UB Machine 48-1211
- (4) 3/4" Spherical Bearing Snap Rings - UB Machine 48-5143
- (4) Coleman Racing extra long ball joint studs with Chevy 7º taper - Stud, Mono-Ball, Extra Long - Racing Parts and Products
- (1) 7º taper drill bit from Speedway Motorsports- Tapered Ball Joint Reamers - 7 Degree - Speedway Motors, America's Oldest Speed Shop
- (4) pairs of 3/4 to 5/8 high misalignment spacers - High Misalignment Spacer - 3/4" to 5/8" Stainless Steel (pair) Barnes4WD.com - Off Road Fabrication Parts
___________________________

That all adds up to $321.31 + shipping.

Now that there are available products, I'd personally get the PSM front knuckle kit and do what I did to the rear LCA.

That would be ~$500 for the PSM stuff and ~$200 for the reamer (which is 80 bucks) and stuff to the rear LCAs. Definitely more money but much cheaper then doing a full front and rear knuckle set up (like driftworks).

You mean space the RLCA down from the upright? That definitely doesn't seem like a good idea. Camber gain? Didn't MAX Dan already talk about that in this very thread?

I haven't had any issues with mine, the rear of my car feels super stable and I have just the right amount of grip.

I'm a little confused...are the eccentric rack bushings PSM's only solution to overcentering? At one point it seemed like PSM was going to go the driftworks route and have an offset inner tie rod spacer, but I might be thinking that from before Dan released the offset rack bushing data.

How much of a difference does 6mm make? People are moving their racks as much as 1" forward, will 6mm be enough to keep up with the angle that the pro knuckle mod gives? Will the new inner tie rod design also help decrease overcentering issues?

I have pro knuckles and no steering rack correction and there is no overcentering. I would assume you'd only have issues if you have tubular lower control arms and a shit ton of caster.

Then again, I don't know why you'd ever need more angle then what my car has right now, lol.
