I'm doing a major tune-up on my 240 in the coming week, including new pads and rotors at all 4 corners (and fluid).
My first question is what the "brake hardware kit"s are for. I notice they have these little metal inserts/brackets and some gooey copper colored stuff. What are these? (I'm sure they'll present their use when I take my old brakes apart, but would like to know ahead of time...)

Also, will I need to order 2 hardware kits for the front and 2 for the rear (one per corner,) or will one "brake hardware kit" do fine for both fronts, and one kit for both rears?
