1997 ka24de into 1993 coupe
How complicated and what all would i have to change? Im looking at buying a replacement motor and found a 97 ka24de for 400.00 with great compression and all intact unmelested.
Do i just switch intake manifolds and call it a day or wat? |

^ ehh?
S13 is pre OBD and 1997 KA is OBD2.... the easiest way to do it would be to swap intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and distributor. and use the car's original harness to run the motor. ..that is unless you enjoy wiring.

What he said is dead on. ^^ Go ahead and do the front and rear main seals while it's out.

Alright so ive ran into a snag, i tried to do some research but im not getting the straight forward answer i need.
When installing a 1997 Ka24de "s14" into a 1993 ka24de coupe chassis "s13" how do i get AC? this is my daily and i would like AC here in florida. Do i just pull my compressor off my 93 ka24de and stick it on the 97? Or what...im relatively lost. Sorry if this is a dumb question thats been coverd alot. I did try to search but im still unclear on it. Feel free to message me, i really need this info. |

I don't buy it that you searched. I also don't think you're doing the work, because if you've looked at either engine you'd see the block is the same. Therefore anything bolted to the S13 block will bolt right to the S14 block, IE the A/C compressor and it's mounting bracket. Along with all the other accessories.

I am aware that the blocks are almost identical. BUT my question was that i have a full s14 pulled from a running car, i havent switched anything Im away with my s13 harness i must switch my distributor and intake manifold over BUT i diddnt know if my AC lines would match up with the S14 compressor. Ive heard both ways that it would and wouldnt.
So thanks for not helping at all... |

So, you use your S13 compressor. If you've pulled the engine as most people do you left the compressor in the car, lines still connected. Simply bolt it right back where it goes on the new engine. Or would you rather I fly to your house and do it for you? Would that wash the sand out of your vagina?

Hes gonna be buying the motor from me lol.
Dude I told you exactly what you needed to know, you have to take the a/c bracket off the s13 ka block and bolt it to the s14 block then put YOUR s13 ac compressor onto that bracket once the s14 motor is in your car. Not rocket science hahaha. |
