I had to get my lines custom made because i used fittings from the dohc a/c system, and i have an sohc chassis. The welder that made my lines fit them around the exhaustmanifold and turbo so they didnt interfere with each other.

I've tried google and google pictures, found nothing even Cody himself has no idea. Keep the Florida comments to yourself please. Doesn't make you sound any smarter. And everything I have is DOHC including lines

Also, by the turbine- I use an aftermarket water neck adapter, turbine outlet flange, suction kit etc and it all clears nicely. If anything, it may give you an idea for some things to try. You didn't post any pics- But you may not even need a welder- It could just be as simple as running a reclock adapter to change the inlet pipe position enough for it to clear. Without seeing; I couldn't really tell ya.

Can't post up pics on my iPhone but the problem isn't behind the motor it's just the valve that's in front of the elbow, not sure if I have to cut it off and move it somewhere else.

I had to unbolt the line from the firewall and gently bend it enough so the valve wouldn't hit the turbo. I don't know if that's what you mean post pics when you can. If anything you could just relocate the valve like you said.

Yeah, I'm going to waste my time reading every single part of every single post. That information SHOULD have been included in the OP, since it is EXTREMELY relevant...
Next stupid idea: PICTURES... That would likely help in finding your solution a LOT. Just because you SAY that you've got all the "correct" DOHC A/C components does not make it so. A picture is worth a thousand words as the saying goes... |

If you wanted quick answers, you would have made the thread WITH pictures. What makes you even more stupid and without common sense would be the fact that iPhones allow for you to download an app to which you can post pictures if you're really impatient.
Others have this kit and it's a bolt on affair. You are not special in a positive way. You've hit a dead end and you want to be spoon fed answers without properly presenting the question? THAT's why I brought up Florida. Because the lack of resourcefulness with the given resources are so under utilized. |

Yeah, because you can't upload to photobucket via mobile right???
Oh, wait, YES YOU CAN!!! Quote:
It pisses me off to no end to see people posting threads looking for answers but they can't even take the time out of their precious day to be thorough. ALL relevant information SHOULD be in the OP. Said information SHOULD be presented in a concise, organized manner. Pictures SHOULD be included if it will significantly help the rest of us determine what's wrong, which is almost always. If you half-ass the thread, you're going to get half-assed answers... |

I've actually run across that issue myself the one time I used Cody's brackets on a car I swapped. I went to an A/C shop and had a custom line made. It was only like $100 or so. You can try to bend it, but that tubing is pretty damn thick and will be difficult to bend without damaging it. Maybe with some precisely and carefully applied heat you could get it.
You can also get R134 conversion fittings that are bent 90*. That might help a little with clearence, though it would still require at least some bending. |
