Wheel hope? What's that?
Wheel hop is caused by play in your suspension bushings. If you get energy suspension bushings, it will help a lot. If you get heim joints/pillow balls to replace your bushings, then it will go away. The grippier your tires, the more wheel hop you will have and the more it will damage your drivetrain.

It's funny, when my rear subframe was all stock, I never had wheel hop.
Then I changed the bushings and put in collars, and now I have wheel hop as well whenever I dump the clutch. Oh wells I guess... |

Imagine you're launching the car and the rear tires are hopping off the pavement ever so slightly and coming back down, over and over again.
You will know when it is happening as it's usually very loud and very rough. It feels like the rear end is bouncing. You'll only get this with tire spin. |

i have a solid mounted subframe and LSD, pillow ball stuff, energy suspension bushings in the uprights and bridgestone coilovers and i still get wheel hop. maybe it's because of the 255s in the back, i don't know.

Anyways too soft of dampning in the rear can cause it easially. When the spring is allowed to move up and down too freely due to less feedback from the shock valving the wheels will go up as the car squats untill they break loose and return back down, thus causing more traction again and the repeating cycle. This is bad on every drive train componet from your axles, to your diff, to your drive shaft, to your transmission, all the way to your crank shaft and connecting rods. Any one of them componets are subject to breaking if you let the jaring continue. |

not sure what you mean by swaying motion, but the click and clunk when you get on and off the gas is most likely slack you have in the joints in the drive shaft that were worsened by the forces (pounding) introduced to them by the wheel hop.

I think when the car hooks the pavement the rear dips from the torque, and then lifts back up as the coilovers return to natual compression... then it slams back down to the normal height.
this could happen multiple times and hence it bounces. |

1. you got shitty coilovers, the dapeners aren't tuned for the springs ( i have had first had expirence with this, and the exact same symptoms you describe)
2. you need to either replace/add collers to your subframe bushings ( similar symptoms, also have first hand expirence) |
