Zenki to Kouki conversion issue
zenki to kouki problem (s14) - YouTube
In the video you'll see that the Zenki Bumper support doesn't extend far enough to the Kouki bumper. I can't bolt anything on as a result of this issue. People have told me that the Zenki Support WILL fit the Kouki bumper, however I can't find any evidence to support this claim. Any help?

I've heard that it can be modified to make it work but never done ti
I've always used the kouki retainer (at ~$60 it isn't terribly expensive from the dealer) do you have the crash support there still? if so, try removing it since it may be preventing the bumper from moving forward you mentioned the radiator support in the vid yours looks fine, no need to replace it the headlight brackets wont match the kouki ones though those you can EITHER replace with the kouki ones or modify the zenki ones to work you can use the sidemarker plugs for the corners (cut and splice) and if you have an SE, the fog plugs can be switched/modified for the headlamps though, you'll need to source a set of male/female plugs |

What I'm going to do to remedy the situation is extend the bumper support using s custom spacer that I'm going to make out of a piece of metal. Then I'm gonna mod the headlight brackets, and wire in my HIDs for the kouki headlights.

Without the kouki retainer your bumper might sag in the center leaving a big gap between your bumper and your headlights. And for the headlights i just used the zenki brackets and drilled an extra hole for the little nub on the tabs. Maybe this will help.

So the kouki retainer extends to fill the gap? So far, I have an HID H1 kit and i dont need to rewire anything. It went in flawlessly, shoutout to HIDGUY. Until i can get that kouki retainer and/or bumper support, I'm gonna have to zip tie this bumper so i can drive to work.

Yeah the retainer should fill the gap, at least mine did to where i could bolt the bumper onto it.
Ran without the retainer for a while and it was fine just sagged, you should be fine until you get one. |

Yes if your doing the jdm kouki bumper the lighting take a little bit of work to get the blinkers working but everything is a bolt on. Get a kouki retainer it makes life so much more easier
