S13 RB25det Ignition wire heating up

Ok so this problem has been haunting me for almost 2 years and nothing seems to be fixing it.

problem: Car died after going down bumpy road had it towed home because it failed to start (seemed as though the battery was dead) jump starting did nothing. Ignition switch fuse went out so replaced it it blew and again and again. Now I get it started and the Ignition coil wire along with the constant heat up. When I say heat up they get hot to the touch and I am afraid if I drive it it will fry as when I rev up the engine it seems to get hotter.

Things I have done

Replaced entire front chassis wiring harness fuses and relays.
Put extra ground on exhaust manifold 4 gauge
put ground between ignitor chip and mounting bracket
Cut ignition switch out of the picture to make sure its not grounding into the tumbler
New Starter (not reman.)
alternator has been tested by an auto electric shop (we tried to get it to work over time to make sure regulator is good)

I just took the coil packs off and noticed there were some bare spots so I put some tape on the bare spots. I need to hook them back up but that will wait till tomorrow.

Any other ideas?

UPDATE:

Ok so I am going to try and explain this the best I can.

The constant Wht wire on the ignition switch gives current to the IGN coil (black/red) which runs down and back around to the ign relay (next to the ECU) and gives power to the ign coil packs and connects with a two pin black/pink and the wht. The wht is the sig wire if im right so I was taking a test light around checking grounds to the coil packs well it seems that the BLK/PINK has some current going through when #1 coil pack is connected. So I checked the other ones and that is the only one on any of the coil packs so it has to be the connection (plug). I peal all the tape and wrapping off to come down to there was a crack in one wire which I fixed and it still is doing it.

Anyone have an IDEA? sorry its really hard to explain.

So, which coil wires gets hot ?
Red wire is constant 12v, black is ground, white is signal from ignitor.
Compare resistance on coils to see if #1 has internal short.

Its just the 3 pin harness that is causing the B/R wire at the 2 pin to get juice. It does it on all the coil packs with that 3 pin harness. I took the harness out and have put in a new ground that is daisy chained the old wire looked used and abused. As far as wires getting hot its only inside at the ignition the wht wire is getting hot along with the Ignition coil wire Blk/red and im thinking its because the black red at that two pin on the coil pack is getting juice and feeding it back in. Does that seem plausible?

I am completely lost ....blk/red=black with red stripe? or black and red wire?
black wire and red wire terminal from coil pack should have no continuity at all.
But if wires gets hot with engine off ignition on, then you can unplug one by one to see where the high resistance is. Just have someone touch the white wire, as you disconnect.

Sorry its just really hard to explain I am dealing with two different sets of wires.

Colors of wires are designated by the first color being the solid and if there is a line then you add the other color second. (thats just the way I have become to know it)

Ignition switch= Wht(contstant) Blue (ACC) Black/Red( IG coil) Black/white and Black/yellow are starter wires.

The White wire and the Black/Red are getting hot INSIDE THE CAR

OUTSIDE RB harness

there is a 2 pin on the coil pack harness that has a white and a black/red
http://gtbitz.com/images/DSC03059.JPG
Its the black plug in the bottom center of that picture

Basically the ignition switch connects the ign coil and the constant which sends power to the ignition relay and through that to the white wire on that two pin.

I regrounded the coil pack wires but the black/red is still getting juice but it seems as though the heat has gone away. We will see tomorrow as I am hooking up the switches for the push button start. But today they didn't heat up and if they do I think I will just run on five cylinders until I get another harness.

Start by testing for continuity between the white wire and the b/r test wire on the 2-pin plug. If it is continuous, you still have a short.

I can probably swing down tomorrow night after work if you are available. Please don't try to run on 5 cylinders.

Yea I am putting in the switches for the ignition today and fan. If you want to swing down to check it out be my guest I don't have my multi meter because my little brother stole it and he can't find it. It's amazing what happens when you don't live some where what happens to your stuff. FML.

I'll bring my meter down and we will hopefully fix this pesky problem. I hate to see your RB hung up on this for so long. I'll text you tonight.

Thank you Darius for coming down. We learned something new and I think the car is ready to go.
