Brand new not sure what to do.

I have a completely stock 240sx who only had one owner(and that was my dad) he recently passed it down to me. I want to make this into a good project car but do not know where to get started at, any advice would be great, this is my first post so hopefully I didn't do to bad.

Whoa whoa whoa, what? "a beast of a car" ? What do you mean by that?

Honestly dude, if you're really new to the 240sx scene and don't know much I would just buy another 240sx and mess with and learn with that. IMO if I were in your shoes that car would mean A LOT to me and I wouldn't want to ruin it and anything done to it would be clean cut and proper. Keep it as a DD and if you're really interested in messing with 240' then get another one to make a "beast" out of.

Because if you knew enough to make a "beast" you wouldn't be on this forum ask such vague questions.

Point is
-Leave the car alone, at least for now till you learn more. You have all the time in the world for that car. No rush.
-If you're REALLY still interested in building a 240sx than buy a shell or any cheap 240sx really and build that. Use it as a learning experince, trial and error. You won't regret things ask much and mistakes would just be part of the learning curve.
-You also seem young so don't jump into this too quickly. Like I said, you have all the time in the world.

HOLD ON I'M A FUCKING ILLITERATE IDIOT.
I THOUGHT YOUR DAD DIED.
SORRY.
I JUST REALIZED YOU SAID PASSED DOWN, NOT THAT YOUR DAD PASSED AWAY.
DO WHATEVER YOU WANT.
I HEARD GOD SPEED IS COOL.

And if you don't know what to do to make your car a "beast" then follow these steps

1. Google google google
2. Search button on forums
3 understand what components you need and why you need them
4. Understand what you are aiming for and the budget needed
5. Save save save
6. Do the project in FULL stages.

Until then... Leave that car alone!!!!!!!

One thing you can do for free is check the body for rust ... if it has become a pile of rust, there is nothing you can do with it (except buying another one and using this one as a donor car)

What condition is it in? All of my 240s have been bone stock.

If it's in a very well kept condition, do not fuck it up with body kits and rice. That's all the advice I have.
