Hey guys just finished my sr swap into my s14, I tried firing it up today and it will turn over but I dont think im getting fuel to the fuel rail. I dont hear the fuel pump priming at all. I have a new 255lp fuel pump in it with the stock injectors. Has anyone had this problem and some ideas to fix it would be awesome. I really dont wont to have to pull that fuel pump out again pain in the ass to put back.



Also just went and checked my fuel level isnt reading on the gauge now, which it did before I swapped the fuel pump! maybe the connections?

ok so I checked the connections in the tank and the one for the float was not on all the way. Popped that one on now it reads my fuel level but still not getting fuel to the fuel rail. The motor turns over just fine just not getting any fuel. I've cranked it enough that is should have been flooded if there was no spark but the lines are still soft and there is no gas smell. I dont hear my walbro pump priming either. I've taken the EGI relay off and no change. My wiring is done by wiring specialties. Its an s13 sr20 into an s14. any help guys

I assume you checked the fuel pump fuse and not just the relay? Make sure all ur harness ground wires are connected in the engine bay. on my s13 KA, I didnt have the ground wire connected to the head and it wouldnt run the fuel pump. pull the fuel lines off the rail and confirm your not getting gas (be careful doing this), could just be the fuel lines are connected backwards.

Im getting spark, I've checked all fuses, I am going to check the relay for the fuel pump its self and use a jumper to see if it kicks it on. If not Im going to pull the pump and test it hard wired. I check the lines and there is no fuel coming up at all. Even turned the filter upside down and its bone dry. So now Im going to go do some more trouble shooting

Check your connection from f4/m63 to ECCS. Make sure that is wired up right. If it is then take a jumper and run it from the fuel pump wire on f4 plug and jump it to somewhere on the chassis to ground it. On mine the part of the ECCS that tells the fuel pump when to cut on and off went bad so I had to do that.

so im not sure what the f4/m63 plug is Im not the best with electrical stuff. But here is the update:

Checked fuses again, pulled the fuel pump out and hardwired it to the battery to test the pump, The pump worked and blew out the small amount of gas that was in the sock. So the pump isnt the problem. I threw the meter on the connection that plugs in the top of the fuel cover to the fuel pump and Im getting no power from the relay to the pump. I tested the connector that plugs into the relay and I got power there. So I have no clue of what to do now.

If you are sure the wiring is good and correct, it could potentially be the ECU itself. For some reason one day my ECU decided to stop working. The fuel pump no longer was priming. I replaced my fuel pump thinking it was the culprit and still nothing. So I swapped in a new ECU and bam, worked like a charm.

is there anyway to test the ECU, my wiring harness is from wiring specalties, and the ECU is what came with my swap.

ok so when I turn the key i feel the relay click, so does that help any?

ok i think I have a better idea of what the problem is. I've been testing everything I can think of. So I hard wired the fuel pump just to see if it would fire up and no it didnt. Fuel pump comes on since i wired it up, but here is the problem I looked at the ECU and the light in the back is not coming on. I tested the coil plugs and I am getting power to them, and power to the igniter chip. Wiring specialties did my harness, there is a relay attached to the harness close to the ecu connector and it has power to the 2 wires but the relay doesnt click when I turn the key. I took another relay I had and made extenders to test to see if it was just a bad relay but same thing. The relay I tested with is the one that is on my fuel pump hard wire so its a good one. Now I dont know what to check or test so any help would be great.

****I dont think my injectors are getting there ground so I think the fuel pump and the injector issue is from the ecu maybe not getting power?

cant commecnt on your main prob but as far the light on the ecu i had the same problem. there is a brown connecter and a larger gray one for the ecu power. you said u had power the coil so it may bot be your problem but check to make sure those 2 plugs are connected, iirc the brown plugs connects to the relay box in the engine bay on the passenger side.
