trying to figure out another movie (HELP!)
okay. like. this dude, he's a professor, i think. and he starts hanging out with some students, maybe he plowed one of his chick students, and they're all smoking mad weed and uh. shit. i think he's broke, and that's a big part of the movie. the thing i remember MOST was that he drove a Ford Galaxie. towards the end of the movie somebody jacks his car and then he goes and gets it back, and somebody gets shot i think. i think like half the movie is about the chick trying to get him to publish a book or something. i remember this possibly being a drama/comedy. i clearly don't remember much, other than i liked it, and want to watch it again. the main dude was a pretty popular actor, i think.
ANY IDEAS AT ALL?

The first word of every sentence.
The first-person singular pronoun, I. The first, last, and important words in a title. (The concept "important words" usually does not include articles, short prepositions (which means you might want to capitalize "towards" or "between," say), the "to" of an infinitive, and coordinating conjunctions. This is not true in APA Reference lists (where we capitalize only the first word), nor is it necessarily true for titles in other languages. Also, on book jackets, aesthetic considerations will sometimes override the rules.) Proper nouns Specific persons and things: George W. Bush, the White House, General Motors Corporation. Specific geographical locations: Hartford, Connecticut, Africa, Forest Park Zoo, Lake Erie, the Northeast, the Southend. However, we do not capitalize compass directions or locations that aren't being used as names: the north side of the city; we're leaving the Northwest and heading south this winter. When we combine proper nouns, we capitalize attributive words when they precede place-names, as in Lakes Erie and Ontario, but the opposite happens when the order is reversed: the Appalachian and Adirondack mountains. When a term is used descriptively, as opposed to being an actual part of a proper noun, do not capitalize it, as in "The California deserts do not get as hot as the Sahara Desert." Names of celestial bodies: Mars, Saturn, the Milky Way. Do not, howver, capitalize earth, moon, sun, except when those names appear in a context in which other (capitalized) celestial bodies are mentioned. "I like it here on earth," but "It is further from Earth to Mars than it is from Mercury to the Sun. Names of newspapers and journals. Do not, however, capitalize the word the, even when it is part of the newspaper's title: the Hartford Courant. Days of the week, months, holidays. Do not, however, capitalize the names of seasons (spring, summer, fall, autumn, winter). "Next winter, we're traveling south; by spring, we'll be back up north." Historical events: World War I, the Renaissance, the Crusades. Races, nationalities, languages: Swedes, Swedish, African American, Jewish, French, Native American. (Most writers do not capitalize whites, blacks.) Names of religions and religious terms: God, Christ, Allah, Buddha, Christianity, Christians, Judaism, Jews, Islam, Muslims. Names of courses: Economics, Biology 101. (However, we would write: "I'm taking courses in biology and earth science this summer.") Brand names: Tide, Maytag, Chevrolet. Names of relationships only when they are a part of or a substitute for a person's name. (Often this means that when there is a modifier, such as a possessive pronoun, in front of such a word, we do not capitalize it.) Let's go visit Grandmother today. Let's go visit my grandmother today. I remember Uncle Arthur. I remember my Uncle Arthur. My uncle is unforgettable. This also means that we don't normally capitalize the name of a "vocative" or term of endearment: Can you get the paper for me, hon? Drop the gun, sweetie. I didn't mean it. |

homie i don't capitalize sentences generally. that's just how i roll.
more info: i think it was a Galaxie somewhere from 65-68. i want to say it was a 67 but i can't remember. i think it was a hard top, definitely not a sedan. this movie came out in the 90's or 00's. fuck this is killing me, the only thing i really remember was the Galaxie and i don't remember who made me watch it, and even if i could going "the movie with the Galaxie in it" to any of my friends would get me nowhere.

lfmao, I can't believe you confused Micheal Caine w/ Paul Gimatti.
Micheal Caine made some great movies and does best when he plays a jerk and/or neurotic. I enjoyed it a lot. It was Giamatti playing a lovable asshole. IMO, it's one of his better roles so far. You might also enjoy the documentary 'Crumb' as well |

Sounds like something that chode would be in. Nick Cage and Douglas should be shot in the street.

Not just jumping on the bandwagon. Dude and Keano Reeves have the same mannerisms for every single movie they have done.
Actually, scratch that, I did enjoy the weatherman with Cage. But thats it.

leaving las vegas, weather man, and lord of war are all relatively respectable movies. pretty much everything else he's done isn't, but.... cmon. gone in 60 seconds, con air, face/off... .they're all at least entertaining.

I think Gone in 60 Seconds was actually a pretty good movie. It had cars, A. Jolie when she was looking good, good actors and it was funny.
Now.. The original on the other hand, IMHO.. I thought that movie was nothing to write home about. I consider the "remake" to be better than the original. H.B. Halicki could've done a better job especially considering the cars he had available at the time.

the only "classic" car movie i really enjoy (let's say pre-'80) is Two Lane Blacktop. actually it's my favorite car movie. most everything else... the car stuff isn't too great. Bullitt is a very dull movie. yeah, i said it.

Bullitt was a good movie.. But I do agree with it being kinda dull/slow at times.
