research shows u gain some top end, but lose low end torque on stock sr set up.
so if u like to drift, low end torque is important, may not be worth it til you have quite a few supporting mods.

Hi mate,

I'll give you some response on this one since the S14 manifold hasnt been covered properly.... Just about 1 thread I reckon.

I bought one a few weeks back from 240sxMotering.com.

- Overall looks nice.
- You need to dremel the runners since there's some good cast leftovers there.
- Runners didnt line up with lower manifold runners
- Idle hose connection needs to be redirected to avoid coalision with injector #3.
I dremeld (?) the 1st runner a bit more so it did line up more or less with the lower 1st runner. No points earned here in my opinion...

Im building the lot back together right now and want to dyno oem vs. Isis manifold soon (if the car runs... fingers crossed).

Would I buy it again? Mhh... if the runners are ok, yes... otherwise get a 2ndhand Greddy.

GT28 as in stock S14 turbo?
Dont mind the manifold then, keep the original one.

T28 is midrange turbo so support it with midrange cams and midrange manifold (=oem).

I run 2871 .86 mid-topend turbo with 264 mid-topend cams and mid-topend manifold.

Good luck

My son just got one for his S13 SR. As mentioned, casting sucks. Bad. All of the mounting holes were in the right places, but needed the threads to be chased with a tap.

They put three vacuum bleeds, 1/8 NPT apparently- right below where the throttle body mounts. There was no way in hell we could get any fittings in them. Straight fittings hit the body, and angled fittings hit the manifold. The exception would have been those swivel connectors that we don't use.

Lost a bit on the bottom end, gained a lot after around 3500 RPM. Daily driver, S3 cams, G2871 R, etc. You get what you pay for. IMO, my son wasted his money on it, not because it's a cheap POS, but because he just didn't need the power up there for his DD.

(Edit) The GReddy manifold has those three vacuum ports machined downwards, (vertical) as opposed to the Isis which are horizontal.

Also, much has been posted about the S13 and the throttle pulley issues with aftermarket manifolds. First, we made a template out of a Bud Light 30 pack cardboard. Then we used a piece of angle aluminum stock, 1.5" and machined it (with the trusty Makita angle grinder and beer) until we got a straight pull on the stock throttle cable. We used the stock holes on the manifold, and the OEM manifold clamp and machined it to fit. THEN we had to cut it down again, so we could close the hood. Not real difficult, but tedious.

"Now" we have a Tomei 185001 adjustable FPR on order (with adapter) because the NISMO adj FPR no longer fits the OEM sidefeed fuel rail. The end pipe throws the fuel line up over the top of the throttle cable, and the adjuster screw hits the rocker cover. Forced into being a fanboy. (grin)
