first thing you are going to need is a shotgun. to splatter your brains on the wall.
no seriously, all you need to do is rip it all out, thats what everyone does anyway. |

If you find one let me know haha. You basically relocate everything under the dash. Custom harness, custom brake and clutch lines, he probably moved his fuel filter under the car or something, I don't even see an intake. That's a LOT of work, and a lot of room for error. Good luck.

I will never understand you shaved bay people......
7evil, there is no one guide to getting a shaved bay. There are lots of different ways to do it. I would suggest googling it first to see if you really want to do the work require to have a bay like that. As zombiewolf wisely pointed out it is a lot of work and TONS of places you can mess up. or You can drop your car off at a shop and $$$$$$ later, boom. Shaved bay.

You know... you don't have to do it all at once.... pick an area... IE: wiring harness, tackle that, then move on.
Things don't have to be done overnight Good luck, and BTW.. there's tonnes of info on this site, just use the Search function, or use google: site:zilvia.net <search term> |

^^Exactly. 7evil it would probably be best to pick an area, say the harness, and look at what people have done to it. Pm chasebays, they are the go to for shaved bays I am sure they can point you in the right direction.

7evil -- looks like what I'm doing to my friend's S13. Originally started as a simple fuse box relocation but he decided on complete shave. We cracked the box open and separated each fuse block and relay, unplugged and labeled everything connected and started pulling EVERYTHING out of the engine bay towards the SMJ. While the unloomed harness was still hangin out of the driverside fender area we started deleting wires/fuses/relays he doesnt need. To do that we picked a fuse or relay he doesnt need, for example all the automatic transmission wiring, and traced each wire to make sure it doesnt T off into something still needed and from there it was cut and pull. Once we were about 80% sure everything unnecessary was removed, we unplugged the SMJ and pulled everything into the interior. Routing the fuse/relays is your choice, we chose the glove box. From the mess of wiring, we pulled the fuse and relays to that location and ziptied them loosely. Then we pulled the driverside wiper amp, headlight, horn and anything else that goes back to that side of the engine bay and made extensions as needed. Same goes for the passenger side (wiper, headlight, engine connections, and integration of lower harness) with everything roughly in place we taped everything back into place and wrapped it with conduit and ziptied to the dash support bar.
PHEW --- YES it is a lot of work and A LOT of room for error... furthermore, if you want it as clean as the picture you posted -- engine harness tuck, rerouting brake and clutch lines, and cleaning up vacuum hoses. |

The amount of wires in your bay depends on what ignition, boost, turbo and ECU setup you have. If you are removing emissions off of a KA24DE engine, get the dvd on how to remove everything www.240sxtechdvds.org
so...don't ask us, figure it out on your own.

That is a lot of work, and it can be very dangerous too. Unless you really know your stuff around electric / fuel / hydraulics hazards, dont change anything. If these things are on the other side of a FIREWALL, there is a reason for that.

The way to have a real clean bay is you should ditch a/c, egr crap, and P/S, tuck radiator tuck the harness and re loom it and mil spec it and use an lines it if you want it real clean, and reroute brake lines.
Hide coolant reservoir and clean it all up obviously. I would recommend to go on nwp4life there is a 400 page thread on shaved bays it took me awhile to go through it but worth it if you want an idea how to do it. Chase bay has alot of products to help you in this. |

start by removing the emissions junk- evap/charcoal canisters, egr, etc. The cruise control unit is also easy to remove if you have it. Then, you can tuck the body harness/ fusebox under the battery tray by extending a few ground and power wires or relocate it entirely to the trunk or under the dash by extending the whole harness.
