KA24E will not start after replacing timing chain guides
O guys I am at a total loss now. I did a simple timing chain guide replacement everything went good other than putting the oil thrower in backwards and having it get chewed up. I set the motor to TDC and aligned the oil pump and distributor up as per the FSM. That oil thrower was replaced with no visible damage to the crank spindle. Put everything back together with the new oil thrower on. Now heres the problem....it tries to turn over, but wont. It made a weird reverse suction pop type sound that came from the intake(its an Injen), so what Im worried about the the valves and what not. Im at the point where I will pay for a mechanic to fix this problem, but want to hear what you guys think before heading down that route. Please let me know what you all think.
