I'm looking for a new hobby. I workout during the day, which I don't consider a hobby. I was into model cars years ago, and I haven't done grafitti in forever now. Just looking to see if anyone is doing anything interesting.

well I don't want anything computer related since I'm on it all the time (work and work at home). I'm looking for something that will get my mind off of work and keep me occupied. Possibly something that doesn't cost too much to get into (no more than like 200). No snow here in GA.

<~~~married to a hot chick, I'm good to go with that, but thanks for the suggestion.

I'd get more into cars, but not mine. She needs to stay exactly how she is now.

guns...and of course cars

Ahhhh, yes...guns.

Buy a used Ruger .22, or a Browning Buckmark .22...and find a local range (outdoor is more fun). .22 shells are CHEAP...$11 for 550...and a used .22 pistol will be in the $200-250 range.

...and cars...you wouldn't be on Zilvia if it weren't for cars...but focus on actually USING your car that you've spent all this time working on (this is an assumption, your car may be stock?). Check out local SCCA regions, start going to races (Autocross, a.k.a. Solo II)...try to do the whole schedule, maybe 1-2 races per month for the whole year. Good, cheap fun (not counting the cost of tires)!).

Expensive to start, if you want a good camera, but a good picture is always worth the effort.

wha??? how does that make it pixelated?

me, i build racecars and go racecar driving, do web, graphic, and video production, photogtraphy, play guitar, learn languages, taekwondo, too much stuff really. i'm always busy with something. my gf doesn't have ANY hobbies at all so she's bored a lot.

sorry I mean not as clear because of reducing it...it looks weird compared to the full size one.

Looks like I have it narrowed down to model cars, rc cars, and woodworking

i work fulltime and i'm a fulltime student, so my schedule is always full. as of now, my hobby is my s13. where i live there are adult leagues (sp) for basketball, softball and touch football. you pay about 50 bucks to join up and you get your friends in on it too. great way to exercise and have fun at the same time.

If you don't plan on real guns I would suggest airsoft. A fast pace sport with authentic looking/feeling weapons and the best part.....you get to plaster people hahaha.

Go to www.cqbchallenge.com to get links for the next game. I believe it's pretty big in GA from what I hear.

I got into drift r/c cars for about 2 years... so much fun! then its like maintaining a regular car.. so i gave that up and started working on my REAL car haha

but right now Im more of a shoe collector ( Jordans, Nikes , Nike SB )...been in it since middle school now and still deal with alot of money.. everything has to do with money to have fun imo! which sucks..

I have a picture in the new issue of RideBMX, the March issue. So I guess BMX is kind of a hobby of mine, more of a life. I dont even think about riding anymore, I just kind of do itI get really grumpy if I dont ride and if I have a good day riding I'm in the best mood. I use to play bass and draw quite a bit and want to get back into that pretty badly; just need the motivation. Reading count as a hobby? How about asking yourself constant questions and trying to figure out weird ideas? Dreaming count? I'm a big dreamer. I have to many hobbies that I dont do enough of! Motivation is killing me and this stupid internet takes up to much of my time

+1 for guns/shooting,its hella fun,but does cost a little to get into IMHO.

I have a Saiga .410 (for those who don't know, its a semi-auto AK shotgun,as fast as you can pull the triggger :naughty: ) and an unknown brand .22,its build just like a romianian AK,slightly smaller chassis, and takeas berrerta (sp) clip, when pulled apart, everything is straight up ak only its hella cheaper to shoot. My dad has a .22 Smith revolver, its on the larger .45 frame so its 10 shot, thats pretty cool too..

Hanging with the girlfriend is always anice hobbie,I used to do model cars back when I had more time. Internet surfing IE zilvia,nonvtec.com,myspace. Working out/gym is a nice time killer for me too

I used to collect football/baseball cards... and made alot of money on ebay, however now I've sold all my cards to buy parts and not use all my extra money on parts so no more cards for me... but it held my interest for a while cause I could make money at it and it wasn't anything like work.

I'd buy boxes and packs and sell the good stuff on ebay...

Walter Payton Autograph card... sold for $550 on ebay.... bought my Greddy catback
Piece of Ty Cobbs bat...sold for $300 on ebay.... bought my bushings, and brake pads

You can waste alot of money of you don't do your resaerch but it can be a ton of fun and since I'm love sports and already know what's going on with the pros it' seasy to keep up with.

+100 for snowboarding.. tiss the season.. YADADA MEAN?

+1 for workin on the car, but most the time I have to.. cause she always gets mad at me..

But other than that, its always great to hang around with friends. Having good friends are mostly all I need.. But being independent is also good. Im a big travler. I love road trips! But that is costly.

As of now, I am very boring at the moment. I eat cupnoodles and work OT all throughout the week to make my car happy. =( Track events are always a blast too

Two words.

Frisbee Golf.

It's affordable ess than $30 will get you more than enough equipment to get started, less if you have somewhere like Play It Again Sports that sells used equipment. All the parks I play at are public parks so it's free to play.

Try cooking, it's fun, and useful, kitchen cooking or outdoor cooking. I also did model cars for a while, I have about 6 that are half finished.

well I love to cook, and I'm probably better at cooking than mostly everyone I know, but I can't get into that or I'll get fat. I work out and have a specific diet I follow.

Ultimate Frisbee sounds cool, I've gotta get the family together for that. Not sure I know what Frisbee golf is.

collect rare and limited edition sneakers for a couple years

then realize you spent all your money on sneakers while your car is still a pile of crap

model cars are cool, but i have ADD when it comes to that crap, i have all these painted models half finished, all sitting in their boxes, no real burning desire to finish them either
