whatsup guys, the transmission on my KA24e is going bad and i wanna buy a used one. I found a ka24e 5 speed from a frontier and i was wondering if the gearing on them were differant than the 240, thanks in advance

you know, thats a bad ass question. I image it would be geared differently for more torque in the lower RPMs, but I could be wrong.

Imagine it like some huge secret and itll shave two seconds from your quarter-mile. Then imagine the "perfect gearing" to allow a turbocharger engine to respond like a NA engine on those wicked ass hills..

how would my car act with the truck transmission?

gears would run out sooner and revs would be higher on the freeway. Also the speedo would be off. Sounds like a good mix for road racing or autocross. The next question is will it bolt in?

I wonder if you could pull first and second out and use them in the 240 tranny. 3rd would be closer in the 240. 4th is the same, then 240's 5th for highway and you would be set.

First and second would be shorter.
