I’ve had my s13 on stands in my driveway for a few months with the tranny out. I was doing a 5 speed swap and lost the time to get it done. Now I have time again so I’m finally gonna get it finished. After all the rain and snow we’ve been getting in Long Island, the moisture has caused my flywheel to get a layer of surface rust on it. What’s the best way to clean this up without damaging the flywheel? I have the flywheel bolted up with red loctite and torqued to spec so I was trying to avoid pulling it off again.

Get a steel brillo pad and scrub it off.
