Whats up zilvia, so I have a red top sr20, on a cold start, the car will only remain running if I play with the throttle up until the engine is around NOT. Once the engine has reached temp, it idles fine and starts right back up as it should.

Also, under heavy acceleration the engine breaks up very bad. I am leaning towards the waste gate being inoperative, due to the fact that the boost gauge is is reading over 20lbs, while it is on the oem turbo and to my knowledge is on the factory map.

I have a 255 fuel pump to install and injector o-rings that were given to me with the car, so i was going to start there, but do not really feel as though they will solve my problems.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Will do, the previous owner stated that he put new plugs in, maybe he gapped them incorrectly

I would lean towards looking at what fuel pump is in there now.

I'm fairly certain that it's the factory pump from the ka. That's going to be the first thing that I do is change the pump. Unfortunately here in md we were hit with 60-70 mph winds yesterday and today so it's a scratch for this weekend.

Might as well get those injector o-rings in since you got em. One more thing you can rule out.
Did you just get the car? How old is the gas?

A stock fuel pump will cause it to break up if it's old and the motor isn't getting enough fuel.

Properly support the fueling system then come back and ask questions.

LOL, so today I decided to go out and mess with the car a bit, a friend of mine gave me a manual boost controller to solve the the over boosting issue. As I am taking the inter cooler piping off I notice a GIANT hole in the intake piping. When the previous owner installed the intercooler and bov, he didn't plug the port for the old re-circ valve. Needless to say, the idle hunting and the fuel issues have now been resolved and its running properly.
