I have a set of 550 gtr injectors on my aftermarket intake manifold!! Not starting! Why? Nothing else was changed other then the injectors. There are high impedance just like the stock injectors are.... PLEASE HELP.

So you switched from the stock 270CC injectors to 550cc?

Yes! Desno injectors

Note: one of the two relays on my rb harness(next to ecu) (which are injector relays) gets warm/hot.... ran fine before.
Only reason i switched injectors. Because i went with an after market intake. Stock injectors dont fit because there not 14mm top feed injectors

If you’re lucky it’ll start, but very very unlikely.

If it wasn't getting hot before, my thought is that there's some type of high resistance somewhere.. If you could trace the wire or read a diagram. Also, did you swap the manifold too? Maybe it's not bolted down properly..?
If fuel is the issue, check your system, confirm fuel is actually dumping into the cylinders on startup

Sorry, read that wrong about the relay, confused it for 'wire'. Can you trace where the wires lead?

Other forums say the 2 relays are some sort of the power source to the injectors. And yes its an after market intake manifold. Ive pulled the fuel rail off with the injectors still on and turned my CAS sensor to see if they were firing. And they sound very weak ( the firing) compared to my stock ones. And only #3 injector fires with a very ugly spray pattern.

And i have read that these r35 gtr injectors have different omhs then compared to the stock rb20 injectors. Am only running these r35 gtr injectors because there a perfect fit. Ive also read rb25det NEO injectors work to. The car has ran before and beautifully too.......... am just lost in the injector world..

Kk, I'm not a guru with mix & matching parts, if you're doing this as trial & error I guess this could be the 'error' part. Maybe grab some other injectors meant for your motor & see if they fire up properly..

The R35 injectors may have physically dropped in perfect, but maybe the electrical part is all off. If that happens I'm thinking it would make sense why you're not getting proper fuel for your startup, or why your relays are heating up

Thats the plan. Either going with rb25neo injectors or try sending in my ecu for a tune... Cheers

Cheers[emoji482][emoji482] good idea, I think the neo injectors are a better bet, although I've never used them, I'd think that's more proven tech to work. Good luck, keep us posted how you made out [emoji106][emoji109]
