i get mine done for $5.00 bucks a rim. not a hook up price or anything. its just in the ghetto :x:

i was told that costco won't mount used tires... they'll only do it if you buy tires from them i think.

i called Big o tires, and they're charging $20 per wheel, just to mount (extra to dismount), hence the need of this thread.

I was there a month ago and they DO NOT mount outside tires. I had them do it before and only charged me $6.50 a tire back then. When I went in to get new tires, they had a sign by the register stating that they wouldn't not mount tires not purchased from them. I asked about mounting outside tires to rims not on a car --- nope to that as well.

I thought I contacted you before and you had prices listed at $40 for a pair (of 15's)? (You had a thread selling random tires and stuff, which also included tire mounting/balancing services) I admit that it's not a bad price... better than what Wheel Works/Firestone and other places charge but curious if you had an updated price since then?

I honestly see a small niche market for this kind of thing. Especially w/ the popularity of drifting getting more attention. Used tires actually have a 3rd or 4th life now and tire shops aren't taking advantage. (People bring in their worn tires for replacements and you know that Costco could definitely sell 'em off for cheap or offer mounting services for people like us who want bald tires w/ little to no traction left --- then again, insurance is probably the largest issue here, which is probably why Costco eliminated their outside tire mounting policy... well that or the low profit margin heh) I'm glad to see you've done this and are offering this service to people here in the bay area.

well 40 bucks is with used tires...
for zilvia guys just call me and i can see what i can do.. it is best if the wheels are off the car and no balancing necessary if that is the case i can charge y'all 5-10 a tire.. depending on how much of a pain it is..

woohoo. Hook me up Josh =). Gonna put some used tires on my advan rims for track later on. Now I just got find some good meat tires for cheap. You happen to have any set of 2 tires for 16" and 8"width rims? 225-235/ 35/45 ish size is good.
