I'm having a problem with my RB where it starts misfiring really bad when the coilpacks get hot so I'm upgrading to the LS coils from a truck with the heatsinks on top but I was going to modify them so they are a coil on plug instead of a coil near plug design.
But my question is if I make them coil on plug does that negate the point of upgrading the coils in the first place? Or do the heatsinks help dissipate enough heat that I could put them inbetween the valve covers?

I used lexus Is300 coil pack replacement springs which you can get from autozone or which ever parts store. Then I used the factory coil pack boots and ordered the plate and swap harness from http://www.mojoperf.com/ .
