Hi all -

I have a question about boosting.

My engine specs are:

S13 Blacktop SR20DET
Stock ECU
Stock Injectors
Stock turbo
Greddy FMIC - BOV
JWT Pop Charger intake
Walbro 255 fuel pump

I am using NGK Iridium plugs. Brand new put them in yesterday.

The problem seems strange to me. When the car is cold it idles great. After driving around and boosting a few times the car runs fine.

After about 30 minutes of driving, the car like hits a wall at 3.5k RPM. It will not boost and just jerks back and forth.

The timing is a little advanced, but can't seem to get it to 15.

Seems like when it gets a little hot, it doesn't want to boost at all.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Piping is good to go. I don't get why it happens when the car gets warm. boggles my mind.

Mine had similar issue, turned out to be a bad coilpack. Fine cold, went to crap when warmed up.

Interesting....Did you buy a used one or all new? Did you replace the wiring harness as well?

I am not sure how to test the coil packs. If I could that would probably help a ton.

I think there's a component test in the FSM. But when it started running bad I did the old unplug one at a time to isolate the bad one. I bought a brand new one at the time. Ended up swapping them all out for S15 splitfires about a year later. The harness was a new WS from when I did the swap.
