Not with factory 370cc injectors...

You really should do some research.

NOPE, stock injectors, turbo and cams? not going to happen. you'll need 550 injectors and poncams.

Jr_ss - ive included a note that I have stock injectors and im aware of that. "740s are what im stepping to" thanks

bardabe - Ive seen T28 put up some numbers..as for cams I know I can squeeze a lil more power on top but I wonder if anybody has put up numbers with stock cams

from what ive read in the past, t28 like 17psi+ or gt2871 on 14-16psi, and at least 550cc injectors, with a solid tune will put u around 300. for the SR

carcrazee- I have heard something similar as well.

I definitely don't want to run past the T28 efficiency range on boost either so I was planning on running 14psi. I guess cams valve springs retainers and injectors going into the money pit

They've already answered your question. No, probably not.

Let it be known I have hit 315whp without cams (stock long block), 91oct, 850cc injectors, nistune, and an s15 turbo though. That seems to rustle a bunch of feathers every time I bring it up... s13 redtop, wont list any more mods because I dont really care if y'all believe me or not.

With those injectors added to your list, you'll be golden fam.

Perhaps you have a slight chance at hitting that mark with an S15 turbo and larger injectors, but don't be surprised if you come in underneath your "desired" numbers. A non-bb T28 isn't going to make it unless you've pushed your turbo compressor way outside of its efficiency range(I.e. 15+psi). Factory T28's aren't sized for big boost or large output numbers.

As far as I know you can't rebuild a T28 BB turbo...

Are you sure it was rebuilt?

They are rebuildable it all depends on the condition. G pop shop did a good job rebuilding my turbo. A little extra charge to rebuild a bb turbo

Need a good tune, bigger injectors as mentioned. And stock cams are generally accepted up to the 400 mark.

the only thing on a mod list which dictates how much power is the turbo, first you look at that. airflow mass -> horsepower. Every engine works this way.

Once you see what the turbo supports, you move on to fuel.

And thats about it. Everything else is VE adjustment or temperature control/support, or abuse threshold components.

My S14 SR20 with all stock block, head & turbo. Only mods besides exhaust, fmic & intake were an R35 MAF inside a 3" aluminum intake & 550cc injectors. With 1.1BAR boost. (16.17PSI) I did 284RWHP & 310ft/lbs on 91 octane. HP is going to be highly dependent on who tunes the car, the type of Dyno and how the correction factor on the Dyno is setup. Sure we can change the Dyno for a higher reading, but you can't cheat physics. A turbo will only flow x amount of air efficiently and a stock SR20 will only have so much volumetric efficiency. With that said I'm sure I could have gone much more aggressive and squeezed out an extra 30hp or so, but to me reliability is far more important than a number for bragging rights that nobody will believe anyway. Something to think about.

Yes please, spend your money on the cylinder head. That's what will make your car breather better. Either Tomei Poncams or JWT S3's will be fun on a S14/S15 T28 treat yourself and get an Apexi MLS HG with ARP head studs while you're at it.
