Hey everyone, First post here and hoping someone with more experience then me can give some insight on my current issues.

I've got a 1972 Datsun 510 that's undergoing a complete resto and has a 91 KA24DE swapped into it. I'm almost to the point where I can drive the car, pretty excited because it's been rotting out in a field since 1985. Anyways the car has a hard time running when cold. Takes a few cranks to fire up, runs fairly smooth for about 10 seconds, and dies. Takes it about 10 minutes for it to stay running and even then it surges slightly. Seems to be fine overall and revs up pretty well.

I believe the problem lies with the IACV/air regulator. I can unhook either when it's running and it makes no difference. Researched how to test/clean the IACV so I did that. Off the car I can get the solenoid to click on and off. Took it apart and hosed it with carb cleaner. Checked the plug and when cranking I have 12V going to one pin, with continuity between the other pin and pin #113 at the ecu. Good ground as well, so I think the wiring is okay although the solenoid won't click when I turn the ignition on. I read somewhere you're suppose to have a reading of 10 ohms between pins, but was't sure if that's at the plug or solenoid. With TPS unhooked car wants to idle up.

Pretty much a stock KA. Header, EGR delete, new injectors, plugs, seals, 175+/- 5 psi across all four cylinders, timing set at stock specs, and no engine codes.

Really would like to get this figured out. Any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

With the car running clamp the hose running to the iacv and see if it dies

Will give that a shot. If it dies what is that telling me?

Clamped hose while running. Slowly the car dies
