Hey guys so a quick background.
I recently took the head off my s13 sr20det and I melted #4 piston and the detonation damage is to great on the block to reuse.
I received a good BARE block a few years back.

My question is can I use the crank from the bad block on my spare block with no mods? Don't want a line bore for incorrect bearing clearances. Or have issues.
I've seen bearings are pretty standard but different sizes can be purchased.

I've seriously read the whole internet so please be nice I know how people bash dumb posts here.

Thanks guys!

You can you just need to mic the crank and make sure it's all within tolerances on each jorunal. Then you just need to clearance the it with the block to get the correct bearings.

Take your block, crank, main caps, girdle, and main fasteners that you plan on using to a machine shop and tell them to grind the mains on the crank if they're out of spec and then cut the caps to fit the standard bearing size. That's the best way to do it and this way you wont be worrying about the Frankenstein job that you may have done coming apart.
