I just put the q45 tb on and im having issues.
When i try to start the car it just sputters and then dies.
First i tried starting it up with the q45 tps sensor connected to the tb and it just sputtered and died, it would run for a little if i gave it gas but i would quickly turn the car off.
Then, i tried putting the rb25 tps sensor onto the q45 throttle body and still had the same issues.
Do i need to use the q45 tps sensor with the q45 tb and splice the wires?

Have you checked for any vacuum leaks? Is the idle air line hooked up properly? Are the unused vacuum nipples on the throttle body capped off?
RB25 sensors will work on the Q45 throttle body. I'm using an RB25 S1 on mine. Remember to adjust the sensor after installation. I set mine to .38 volts at idle (closed). With anything higher than .38 it refused to drop down to idle speed. It'll still run even if the sensor has not been adjusted. It'll run higher than normal idle speed.

There are still a few leaks as I was just test fitting it to see if it would run.
I need to plug up the unused barbs and idle, will just a small leak cause this problem?

After searching i'm pretty sure that the tps sensor it came with isnt the original one.
I know im supposed to block off the little vacuum nipples but what do i do with the other barbs? I've searched alot before posting and cant find the info

What dbeiler said, check all your vaccum, if you just decide to throw the tb on to test fit with currently existing leaks of course it's going to start and idle funny or even just die in your case , start with fixing all the leaks and checking all your iacv and AAC lines
