Ka24e cel not lighting up/ no spark

Rx7 guy here working on a Nissan stanza with ka24e. Been working on s chassis for years so I'm quite familiar. Trying to get good ideas on getting this car running next time I work on it in 24 hours.

1991 stanza ka24e. Car ran out of gas, after was hard to start but it did start but would die minutes later. Started and died minutes later 2 times. Now the car won't start.

First thing I noticed: cel doesn't light up. Owner said it was working before she ran out of gas. I thought each may not have power but it shows power at fuel injectors. Checked for spark leaving the ignition coil and nothing. I can hear fuel pump priming. Checked for power at interior fuse block for ecu and has power. Ignition fuse has power. Car has 3 relays I will try swapping and/or testing

I'm guessing possibilities are more likely a faulty ignition cool, next being a faulty igniter chip. After that being a cam sensor in the ecu. Any links to testing each component? Can try parts for cheap from my work so will be trying a new ignitor chip, ignition coil tomorrow, and ignition relays.

Ignition on, motor off, take distributor out and spin it by hand. You should be able to hear the injectors click and see spark if you have a plug out of the cylinder. If the CEL doesnt come on when you put the key to on, and its not the bulb, the ECU is probably bad. Or perhaps the power to it or a relay.

Have you checked fuel pressure? Could be clogged fuel filter.
