check the block on the left side, it should have a stamp on a little flange that says rb25, but youll need to figure out if its a series 1 or 2 so you can get the right harness and ecu for it.

The engine has the rb25 oil cooler, the rb25 plastic coilpack cover, the rb25 rockers covers, it doesn't have the PTU apparently so I suppose it's a S2 or a S1 converted to S2 coilpack, the rb25 damper and the head has bigger ports than an 20 head it has at least an aftermarket cam (or a oem RB20 one) on the intake side equipped with an afermarket pulley..

Given all the things that comes only on a 25 engine, it's certainly a 25.

I just picked the motor up the previous owner says it has a rb26 crank and over sized pistons in it I will be pulling the head tonight to confirm and I will post pics.

Is there any way to tell the different between rb20 intake cam and rb25 aftermarket cam because there is only a adjustable cam gear on the intake side

An oem camshaft won't have anything on it while an aftermarket one will have hks or tomei or anything else stamped on it.
