so ive been searching everywhere and trouble shooting for days but cant seem to find the problem. i recently bought an s14 with a 95 ka-t (dont know a lot of details the person who had it didnt know shit about it) jim wolf tuned, 555cc injectors, z32 maf, some aftermarket fpr, new plugs gapped to .035 (going to gap smaller to see if it help). basically it starts and idles fine, rough/rich but alright, after driving whever i put the clutch in idle drops low and either starts jumping or just dies. also every once in a while usually after driving under high load for a while ill totally lose throttle response and itll start to sound like its missing and just get keep getting worse. starts right back up like normal after letting it sit for a while. thought it was a tps problem so i checked codes and it threw maf (would having a z32 throw it), iat (looked and the plug was hanging there but no sensor.. lol), knock sensor, front o2, and egr canister control. checked voltage on maf signal wire (B) it was .4 so i checked to see if the maf had any dust/corrosion inside and there didnt seem to be any. any help would be great and dont know if this helps but front seal is leaking ill change it soon.

I've got a similar problem with my KA-T, the engine doesn't catch idle when the rpm's drop low (when clutch is put in/ when engine is revved). Other than that it'll idle fine. I did do some research and read a lot about different MAF setups, there's blow-through and draw-through. If your MAF is relocated to the cold pipe (Blow-Through setup) then it will supposedly run a lot better and not have as many idle issues as it would if it was mounted ahead of the turbo (Draw-through setup). I have yet to make the change on my own car because it will require a re-tune if you do so. Just my 2 cents, let me know if you figure it out. Good luck!
