So I finally found the car I always wanted, a 1990 240sx.
all it is right now is a shell that I'm in the process of getting to my garage.
but I have a very tight budget.
does anyone know a good swap on the cheaper end that will work in the car?
thanks.

you can probably pick up a KA24E (single cam motor) for no more than $300 lol

Is this a fucking joke, the factory motor is cheaper then dirt.

Well the ka24e will be a straight drop in so the cheapest. The ka24de version would need to convert the p/s lines I beleive and then work.and then the sr20det swap but I don't know what you mean by a tight budget..

Definitely cheapest is the original engine. Less modifications or extra parts needed to get it to fit or running correctly.

Plus if you're lucky you can find one at a junk yard off a 240 that was totaled from drifts.
