I installed the official prototype WSRD power steering kit on my car today. We'll have it up on the site soon, along with more detailed pictures! If you'd like to order immediately, shoot me a PM. These include the high pressure line, low pressure return, -10 pump feed, reservoir, and all necessary hardware, adapter, and brackets for install.

We recommend Redline power steering fluid, it's good for any power steering system!

Keep in mind this is the prototype, there will be some small differences and better fit and finish on the production version!

It looks awesome, it moves the reservoir out of the way of the hot exhaust parts, and it will last tons longer than oem rubber hoses.

A little of topic but the picture under the one with you pouring the fluid into the reservoir why does it look like there's a tube/skinny cylinder of fluid on top/or as if the p/s line was shooting fluid out perfectly??

Aren't we supposed to run atf?
Also would this clear the intake on a sr?

1) ATF or PS Fluid is acceptable.

2) I can tell that the kit doesn't really come close to the intake side, other than the lines. If so just bracket it under the intake. Luckily both the lines and accordion are bendable so you can play with it

Any pics of the kit all together un-installed?
How does it mount to the front panel?

Sent you a payment for the power steering kit, will have a thorough review of the parts and ease of installation and fitment. Thanks WSRD for making this kit as an alternative to other kits.

How does this kit fit with the folks with fmic since it seems that it's real close to where the hot pipe runs

Unforunately not at this time, we don't have a RHD car to prototype on, so this makes it hard to get things like line lengths right!

That is with the car running and the fluid is indeed coming out in a perfect stream like that.

Redline power steering fluid is good for any PS system, whether it takes ATF or PS fluid normally. I had some cheap ATF in mine and it liked to whine when it got hot. Now, it's always quite and works beautifully!

Thanks! I'm personally very passionate about this chassis, so we just want to make quality parts that work!

Although it is close, the reservoir can also be mounted wherever the lines reach. This gives it a somewhat "universal" design and freedom for the user to change the mounting to suit their needs.

Just kinda curious what you guys use for a feed fitting? This is my custom setup which I did because chasebays still uses a rubber hose and a clamp. I just used a krc 10an fitting on mine.

Do I see a coolant reservoir in the works?

Is this reservoir baffled? That's a little important

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but the WSRD bracket seems to be laser cut out of 3-6mm AL? If your doing laser cut see if you can find a shop with a solid state (disk preferably) resonator. Will be a much easier for the shop to process due to the difference in absorption between the CO2 and NeYd wave length. I used to work for a major machine tool manufacturer and solid state resonators made everything a breeze Especially with AL, while being cheaper to run, thus cheaper for you as well.

I wish you had released these earlier. Waiting on my chase bays to come in.... :(

I want one of these for my 2jz... My stock reservoir is dumping fluid everywhere. Is the reservoir baffled?

I can tell you already from how steady that stream is probably not. You could always stuff a 2 stroke fuel screen into the bottom to baffle it

Hah, that is just a universal one I'm using. We may or may not depending on the success of this kit, really.

It is not. The lid has an o-ring seal and I haven't had problems with either of my non-baffled cans puking fluid.

It is not. I haven't had any issues with the can design, is your fluid boiling?

I don't believe it is but the pump seems to be pushing all the fluid out somehow. Seems common on these swaps

I was reading of the exact same issue the other day.

Its to do with the jz pump having a different banjo compared to the s body.

the guy in question modified the fitting coming off the pump to reduce flow slightly.
