View Full Version : RB25 into S14 Mount question

My boss is in the process of putting an RB25 S1 into a 96 S14. Last weekend he got some of the wiring finished and the engine and trans mated.
However when he went to mount it, the trans mount lined up fine, but the motor mounts are being a pain. He says its like they're too short if he has the transmission bolted to the crossmember. He used these mounts

Is he doing something wrong? (i.e reversing right and left) or should he just invest in McKinneys? Just doing a visual comparison, McKinneys dont look like they're any different. Just wanting to get this thing in. Any input is appreciated.

He could have the two brackets that bolt to the block reversed. Switch sides and see if that helps.

I used those same ones on my 95 rb25 swap.
I used the stock rubber mounts to allow holes to match up
