I'm not usually much of a bench racer...but this seemed interesting-my buddy just bought a new scion fr-so (not supercharged). Online specs say it's about a 14.9 second car...also it says the stock 93 240sx is a 16.1 second car. I just rebuilt my motor and haven't installed it yet.
My mods:
- Sohc pistons for a little higher compression
- 98 model head with 3 angle valve job
- Port matched intake with butterflies removed
- msd blaster 2 coil
- walbro 255 lph fuel pump
- 4-2-1 header with 3 inch exhaust
- egr block-off plate
- electric fans
- no a/c
- no p/s
- removed charcoal canister
- adjustable fuel pressure regulator (can someone tell me the ideal setting for it? It was on the car when I bought it)
- stage 3 6-puck clutch
- 1.2" drop springs
- kosei r-seneka wheels with 215s out back
- poly mounts
Do you guys think that this will get me into maybe the mid 14s? I know gains are a lot harder to get on a N/A motor. Thanks for any input!
