Alright guys need some information. Tried digging around but there isnt much info on type x blacktop sr with a J4. So i know the pinout is different. But what came with my swap was S14 style MAF and a S14 stlye coolant temp sensor. Now i just got in my WS harness and it uses the S13 coolant temp sensor. Is there any difference in the sensor outside the plug? Also could I use a s13 MAF with the J4?
Please dont say search. I spent the last couple days trying to dig up and info on j4 ecm but nothing covers these questions.

1. Pick up a few free (cheap) SOHC KA maf hot-wires and try them all to see which one gives you the best A/F desirable range. All MAF's, although identical, are not equal at this age (20~ years)
2. I think when I had my J4 I used a 1998 sentra 2.0L sr20de coolant temp sensor.
the info is out there. I wrote the pinout you see everywhere (J4 to 62 pinout) back about 10 years ago so its all a little hazy. But yeah use the S13 maf (and the KA SOHC maf hotwires) try them all until you find the best one. Use a wideband obviously.

Yeah ordered the s13 and s14 quick disconnect maf for my WS harness. And I think I will need to change out the pigtail for the temp sensor then.
Most of what I have found is spread out to a dozen forums and most never answered questions just gave a little bit of info.

well heres what ya do to avoid all the searching.
OptionA:
go to local auto store and buy a 98 sr20de sentra coolant temp sensor. Keep it new in box with receipt.
Get your engine running shortly thereafter using whatever coolant temp sensor is on it already. If your wideband shows serious trouble (too rich, too lean) then try the other sensor two minutes later. If it doesn't work, return it.
Option B:
call up one of the hundreds of engine importers and ask them to sell you a 98 blacktop type-x coolant temp sensor
