Little bit of backstory:

Hey guys, so I just bought my first 240, the guy had it registered as a classis so didn't need smog. I went ahead and attempted to get it smogged and it failed(I was pretty sure it would). Anyways, it failed because of high CO, and I did some searching and found that this would mostly be caused by injectors or possible the o2 sensor.

So today, I went ahead and picked up new injectors, threw them on and didnt think much of it. I went to start the car and there was spark at the battery. The battery terminals and posts were dirty as can be. So went to the store and bought some cleaner and new terminals threw them on and everything seemed good.

The issue:

Now, I got back in the car, turned the key and the car acted like it was going to start but it just turned over non stop. After trying a couple of times I decided to stop because it smelled like gas. I checked the engine bay, all was good, checked under the car and there was two puddles of what smelled like to be fuel. One was where the headers meet the cat, the other where the cat meets the exhaust.

I went back and looked at the injectors took them out and realized that only 3 of them had the little black rubber piece that goes between the metal top cover cap and the actual injector. Now, I don't know if this is whats causing the issue but I'm beat.

I really don't know what to do because the injectors are new, I checked the spark plugs and all of them came out pretty much dry as can be. Everything is connected correctly. Has anyone had this happen ? Can anyone give me some advice on what to check and or try ? The car used to run great before and now it won't even start. Any help is welcome. :(

Thanks guys !

The water puddles under the exhaust is normal due to the catalytic converter converting hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide I beleive into h20 "water". If it worked before the injectors I'd lean towards them being bad.what I would try is reinstalling the old injectors and seeing if it starts.or unbolt the fuel rail from the intake and crank over the motor and see if the injectors are spraying.

There should be two O-rings per injector.
-big (for top), and small (for bottom).

If you are missing an O-ring then yes most likely cause you leaking fuel.

but for another basic tips make sure you have fuel pressure(check with a fuel pressure tester gauge) and make sure the spark plugs are sparking(ground them out and crank or use a spark plug tester and crank)..and finally a compression test.one of those isn't working

I checked all the plugs they are all sparking. Compression is good on all of them. I left it alone all night and came back this morning because I thought the engine had flooded and j would just give it some time. Now it just cranks but isn't leaking anymore. I rechecked to make sure the plugs were sparking and they were, they also weren't wet. I don't know now. I crank it and then when I finally let it die it makes like a really deep, but quiet thump sound.

Check for fuel pressure.and retest with your old injectors since you know they work..and swapping injectors is pretty easy

I put the old injectors in, and checked to see if fuel was going to the rail and it is. The spark plugs are still sparking but still nothing. It just turns over. The only thing is that when I pulled the spark plugs to check them they came out a bit wet, nothing drastic just maybe like 3 drops. I took off the dizzy cap just to be sure and it is spinning so I really don't know now. Fuel is going, sparks are flying. What else ?!
