As the title states, im doing an oil change on the car i just got, 1970 510 sr20det, it sat for over a year and its already running after a couple repairs, now i wanna know what the best thing would be to run in it, i've heard good and bad about rotella 15w-40, motor has unknown miles but assuming around 80k, Mobil 1 10w-30 was also recommended to me. Just trying to get it in its best shape, so what would you guys recommend? Lucas stabilizer as well? Any input is appreciated.

Secondly, i know how bad it is tp get to the oil filter, any recommendations on a brand for a relocation kit or links to them? Im about to search now but if u guys have it quicker that would help, thanks!

I run rotella 15-40 in almost all my cars no complaint. If you need an oil with a high zddp content stick to mobile 1 full syn, or valvoline vr1 (racing) oil.

Goodluck.

Vr1 sucks - thinned out on my after 3-5 bacl to back laps drifting
I use rotella 15-40. Holds great pressure even after hot lapping

I've heard that rotella is bad, buddy of mine had his car running on it and it blew on him after 100 miles with it.

10-40 or 15-40 would be my choice, synthetic. Filter is crucial also, many small oiling holes in the engine and some cheap filters could deteriorate and plug the holes.
