Hey guys, I'm kinda new to the working on a 240 scene. I have a 1990 hatch, completely stock. I've replaced a few parts here and there, but I always had help and now I'm trying to do this one on my own.
Every once in a while my idle will randomly start dropping from normal (~1500 rpm) to ~200-400 rpm like its going to stall. Acceleration causes some bucking, and sometimes it does stall if I'm not giving it gas.
The first time it happened, I took it to a shop because it started to stall while sitting in traffic. They said it was the injectors and supposedly fixed whatever it was. But now its happening regularly and since they didn't specify what about the injectors was causing the problem, I'm a little lost.
I've been using fuel injector cleaner, and that solves the problem temporarily (for about 6 months) but I want something a little more permanent.
Would replacing the injectors and/or connectors be my best option here? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
