S13 SR Swap - clutch won't disengage!

Alright so I just got done swapping a red top sr into my s13. I was having bleeding problems so I looked into the clutch dampener delete and ended up running the isis line from the master straight to the slave - bleeding problem solved. However, the clutch still won't disengage. With the car on jack stands I can't get the car to go in gear while running. So I took the dustboot off and checked everything and can see everything is working fine, but then I saw that the slave just isn't pushing the clutch fork far enough. The rod coming out of the Slave has to travel a fair amount before it actually comes in contact with the clutch fork. So I decided to put a longer rod in and it worked but the clutch is definitely slipping a bit so I guess I'll have to trim it.

Is there anything else I should have tried before the longer rod? Has anyone else had this issue?

Put the shorter rod back in the slave (pin), and adjust the pedal rod. (Make it longer)

The pedal doesn't have any play in it though? My understanding is that it wouldn't change how far out the rod is sitting from the slave

I've read your problem, and I have an understanding. I assume that the clutch and everything was working fine before and just needed to be bled and you changing the line should not have required you to change the slave, master or the pin in the slave. Now that your clutch slave has got a longer pin, explains the slightly slipping issue aka put back the shorter pin, the pedal has it own adjustment range, by making it have a longer stroke. It will disengage the clutch, when you release the clutch slave will be back to it's normal position. No slipping. Unless the clutch needs to be replaced.

Update: bought a nismo slave, installed and bled. Still wouldn't disengage. Adjusted the pedal rod all the way out and now it will go into gear, however now the clutch slips at anything over 2500 rpm. Tried putting the adjustment back a little bit so it will still go into gear but the slipping didn't get much better.

Keep adjusting, it's the pedal travel for sure. Don't turn it more than 1 or 2 full revolutions and then retest. PITA but otherwise clutch will never work properly.
