My fuel pump has no power(on it's own).

so something fishy happened almost 2 weeks ago. my car stopped running. and after some buys of parts I didn't wind up needing. it was the fact that my fuel pump stop priming, running. the pump is good, but I need to hook 12v on it to get running. it's not the relay as I changed it and there is no power coming from any of the terminals.

so I have to put 12v on the lower left terminal to get the car running. I could just hardwire a relay and cut out the stock crap all together, but I want/need my fuel gauge to work still.

checked the engine bay harness looked for loose grounds as far as the engine and no dice. anyone have pics of their current fuel setups In terms of wiring??

I know for my aem for my 1jz I have to use a 12v fuel pump mod as they have fp ecus.

Have you bothered tracing the circuit to see why you don't have power from the ign switch, through the fuse and relay, and to the pump?

the fuse is fine. I swapped out the ecu so it's not a driver problem. there is no cont at all in the fuel pump relay terminals.

I changed the ign switch(the key) on the car with a new unit.

Check on the connector thats coming from the car, not the fuel assembly and make sure that you are not getting 12v. Use a good ground connection to check, its hard finding a good one in the trunk are. Sometimes you are not getting a 12v on the assembly, but you do on the chassis connector.

The 2 right pins (Top and bottom) on the relay socket should have 12v with key on. If not start there!

the right 2 terminals have 0 power with the key on, in fact none of the pins have power.

The only pins that should have constant power are the 2 right pins with the relay out. The top left pin is the ecu trigger, don't put 12v on that line or you'll burn the ecu or wire. The bottom left is the fuel pump power wire. The relay transfers power from the pins on right, to the bottom left.
Open up the relay box, and probe the wired on the right, you should be able to figure out where they go by looking at the other wires that have 12v with the key on engine off.

Unless you wired in your own circuits, and bypassed the relay box, for ignition on power sources. Your problem is right there or the thing that controls power before the relay box.

I didn't wire in any circuits. I got the car moving by jumping a wire from the battery to the bottom left spade. so testing the terminals there is no power on either right side. so you are saying I should remove the fusebox and take that relay port apart??

You don't have to pull that relay apart just follow the wires. You might find them broken from the main power source, they should be tied to each other. Take that wire and add it to the main ignition source. Tuck the wires back in the relay box, install relay, and see if the pump primes.
