I got a 1992 Nissan 240sx hatch

I just threw on coilovers not too long ago and was driving around the other day, made a right turn and all of the sudden the car started shaking and idling like complete crap.

felt like running on 3 cylinders, took it back home and changed out spark plugs and spark plugs wires, the whole fuel rail and injectors, cleaned maf and my fuel pump is relatively new...

problem went away, then yesterday I was driving around and same thing started happening but quickly went away after accelerating.

anyone know wtf is going on? i'm gonna clean the aac iacv later and the maf

but anyone had something similar and know how to fix this?

:wtf:

How low is the car now?
Did you rub through some of the harness under the passenger fender.

It's common if you didn't tuck the harness when dropped it.

On a 240, lowering the car and harness tuck under the fenders go hand in hand!

It's possible you have some codes ready to be read on your ecu. Check those before spending any money.

I tucked harnesses and I'm not that low to rub through, ecu did not throw any codes...

Did you double check the harness though?maybe you can't hear it rubbing or whatever but all it takes is a bump at a decent speed being low could damage the harness

Very true. You don't have to be super low to hit a bump and run.
How high did you tuck the harness? Side or above the fender rail.

Also could have be damaged before you got it and now that you moved the harness it moved the damaged wires and the are touching.

I'll run through the harness again just to make sure...gonna check compression right now too.

sounds good.
It never hurts to check it. could also have a relay that is going out. My fuel pump relay was like that. You could hear it click on and off and reprime if I would hit large enough bumps. hahah

Lol^

Ok, ran compression:

1st=175
2nd=180
3rd=180
4th=190

so it can't be head gasket...

Vacuum leak... While at idle... Shake and wiggle all the vacuum lines... U'd be surprised how shitty ur car can run on a vacuum leak.
