I hear split opinions on light drivetrains on boosted cars, my particular setup is a s13 with a 1j I already have the mid weight flywheel ( stock 19lbs, lightest I've seen 11lbs, mine is 14lbs) but I'm wondering if I should go aluminum driveshaft to. My question is those of you with boosted cars, did you notice any extra lag with a lightened drivetrain vs stock? If so, does it benefit you enough to offset the extra lag?

It does nothing to lag, and never did. your transmission loses a bit of inertia, and that is all.

I am using a 11lbs flywheel, instead of an oem 24lbs one. That was supposed to work wonders when i bought it.
So yeah, it has a very tiny bit of effect, but don't expect more than that. I am pretty sure you would not feel the difference if your driveshaft was swapped without telling you.

If you want less lag, grab a newer turbo, a smaller turbo, add a compressor, or add a NOS spooling system (injects NOS only to spool, useful with a big ass turbo).

Yeah, these are not cheap. But they work.
